Teaching English five days a week to children ages 3-12 in an afterschool program classroom environment. Young children learn English through a play to learn curriculum that focuses on usage of language in-context. Developed a new integrated curriculum for older more advanced students using Social Studies, Math, and Science to teach English vocabulary, writing, reading, and spontaneous speech.

Spends three to five hours a week in a first grade classroom assisting the students with their spelling and literacy activities. Has the opportunity to teach spelling to small groups and particularly helps students who are reading below grade level with sight words and fluency.

Twice a week from August through April assisted the students in mathematics. Graded papers and tutored students that were behind. In December started pulling out groups of students to read. They were divided up by their reading level and we would read and discuss books.
